At least 2,231 new infections were recorded and three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current test-positivity rate is 8.53 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.64 percent.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,105 and the mortality rate stands at 1.76 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 15,95,931, added the release.
A total of 26,143 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.
At least 208 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,51,113 and the recovery rate at 97.31 percent.
The three deceased were male -- aged between 61-70 years old, added the release.
