Sirajganj District correspondant: The Directorate of Disaster Management is building a 'Mujib Killa' to protect the lives and property of the people of Char region from natural disasters in Kazipur of Sirajganj. It is being constructed between Chalal and Char Douglas Mauza of Char Girish Union of the upazila. However, before the construction work was completed, a part of the Mujib Fort collapsed due to the flood of Yamuna river. It is known that this Mujib Killa is being built at a cost of more than two crore rupees. On 4 December 2022, local Member of Parliament Engineer Tanveer Shakeel Joy laid its foundation stone.
