Seven districts in Bangladesh have seen another 81 Covid deaths

A total of 81 patients died at the Covid units of hospitals in seven districts in Bangladesh in 24 hours till Thursday morning.

The districts are Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Chattogram, Satkhira, Mymensingh, and Tangail.

Of the deceased, 28 were Covid patients and 53 had symptoms, according to the reports.

Of them, four died in two hospitals in Khulna, 17 died in Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, 19 in Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, nine in Clhattogram, eight in Satkhira Medical College Hospital, 21 in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, and three more died in Tangail during the time, New Age correspondents in the districts, quoting officials of the hospitals and health department, reported.

In Khulna, three Covid patients died in the Covid Dedicated Hospital and another Covid patient in Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Hospital during the time, New Age correspondent in Khulna, quoting officials of the hospitals, reported.

New Age staff correspondent in Rajshahi, quoting Rajshahi Medical College Hospital director Brigadier Shameem Yazdany, reported that 17 patients — six Covid positive patients and 11 having symptoms — died at the Covid unit of the hospital in the past 24 hours.

Our Correspondent in Barishal, referring to a release by Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, reported that a total of 19 patients — two Covid patients and 17 having Covid symptoms — died at the hospital’s Covid unit in the past 24 hours ending 8:00 am on Thursday.

New Age correspondent in Chattogram, quoting the district civil surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, reported that a total of nine Covid positive patients died at hospitals in Chattogram in the past 24 hours.

New Age correspondent in Satkhira, quoting the SaMCH superintendent Kudrat-e-Khuda, reported that eight patients died in the hospital’s Covid unit with Covid symptoms.

New Age correspondent in Mymensingh, quoting the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital’s Covid unit focal person Mahiuddin Khan Moon, reported that 21 patients — six Covid patients and 15 others having symptoms — died in the Covid units of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital during the time.

In Tangail, one Covid patient and two others having symptoms died during the timeline, New Age Tangail Correspondent, quoting the district civil surgeon Abul Fazal Mohammad Shahabuddin, reported.
