Staff Correspondent : "District Water Resources Development and Management Committee Meeting" organized by Bangladesh Water Development Board and District Administration Bandarban was held at the District Administration Conference Room on Thursday, September 21. Under the chairmanship of Bandarban Hill District Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources Nazmul Ahsan was present as the chief guest in the meeting. During the meeting, he reviewed the various projects of water resource development in Bandarban district and discussed future issues. Later, on September 22 (Friday), he visited the bank conservation work implemented in Kaptai Upazila and the office of the executive engineer of the Water Development Board located in Kaptai Upazila under the project of protecting the banks of both the banks of Karnaphuli and Ichmati rivers and Shilak Canal from erosion. At that time Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohiuddin and other related officials were present. Later on September 23 (Saturday) in the morning of Rangamati district headquarters, after visiting various developmental works of Bangladesh Water Development Board and Engineering Academy, in the afternoon, when he reached the office of Sub-Divisional Engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board, Sitakund, Chittagong (Poor Division-2) Executive Engineer Nahid Uz-Zaman. Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, Nazmul Ahsan received flowers with greetings. 
After spending some time, he went to visit the Mahamaya Irrigation Rehabilitation Project in Thakurdighi area of Mirsarai Upazila. During this time, he along with his tour companions took a boat trip to the largest artificial Mahamaya lake in the country and spent some time enjoying the natural beauty in the scenic and secluded environment. Later, he left for Dhaka by road after a 3-day visit last Saturday evening. Bangladesh Water Development Board, Chattogram Zone Chief Engineer Shibendu Khastgir, Chattogram Circle Supervising Engineer KM Zulfikar Tarek, Rangamati Executive Engineer Toyan Kumar Tripura, Cox's Bazar Executive Engineer Dr. Tanzir Saif Ahmed Other officials related to the project were also present.
