Narsingdi Correspondent: Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Banquet-2023 of Narsingdi District Reporters Club was held. On Tuesday (September 19) a day-long AGM and banquet was held at the bungalow house of Babu Ranjit Kumar Saha in Tengarpara of Palash upazila of the district. The annual banquet of the Narsingdi District Reporters Club was attended by members of the club at the district, upazila level. Babu Ranjit Kumar Sahar's bungalow in Tengarpara turned into a meeting place for journalists. The members of the club spent the day singing and dancing happily. In the afternoon, lunch was followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a discussion meeting on the occasion of the banquet. President of Narsingdi District Reporters Club (Acting) Safiqul Islam Ripon was present as the chief guest in the meeting, No. 1 Youth General Secretary of Narsingdi District Awami League, known as the former successful and humanitarian mayor of Narsingdi Municipality. Narsingdi District Reporters Club treasurer Touhidur Rahman Taukir spoke as the main discussant, former president of Narsingdi Press Club and advisor of Narsingdi District Reporters Club Babu Makhan Das. Mahbubur Rahman Monir, President of Narsingdi Volunteer Forum, Adviser of Narsingdi District Reporters Club and Director of Orbit Institute of Engineering and Technology were present as special guests. Sonet Kumar Saha, the youngest son of Sujan Khandkar and Heavenly Babu Ranjit Kumar Saha and others. Narsingdi District Reporters Club General Secretary Moniruzzaman Monir delivered the welcome speech. Speaking on behalf of the executive committee of the club, coordinator Maqbul Hossain, Nurul Islam Nurchan, senior vice president Shahadat Hossain Raju, vice president Md. Moniruzzaman and joint editor M Obaidul Kabir. Later, Narsingdi District Reporters Club handed over mementos to the invited guests. After the discussion meeting, the Annual General Meeting of Narsingdi District Reporters Club was held. General Secretary of Narsingdi District Reporters Club Moniruzzaman presented the annual income and expenditure report of Monir in the general meeting. According to the unanimous decision after the annual report and question period, the advisor of the organization, Babu Makhan Das, released the acting president Safiqul Islam Ripon and announced the full president. As well as the 1st joint general secretary, office secretary and 1 executive member of the organization, the 2nd joint general secretary M Obaidul Kabir was replaced as the 1st joint general secretary, Ajay Kumar Saha as the 2nd joint general secretary, Zubair Ahmed Jani as the office secretary and Asaduzzaman Badal as the executive committee. Nominated as a member and assigned responsibility for the duration of the committee. Besides, some members have been suspended from the club membership as they have been absent from the club for a long time and have not maintained any contact.
