The government said that more educational institutions are likely to come under Monthly Payment Order (MPO) scheme in a week.
Education Minister Dipu Moni has made the remarks at a post-budget press conference on Friday (June 10).
"We hope to give the announcement of bringing more non-MPO educational institutions into the MPO list next week. However, I can't say at the moment what the number is,” she said.
Dipu Moni also expressed her satisfaction over the allocation on education sector in the budget of 2022-23 fiscal years.
The minister said there has been a good budget in such a tough global situation. The allocation on the Ministry of Education has increased by about 20 percent. So, there is no chance of disappointment, she added.
Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak, Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Rezaul Karim and other ministers were present at that time.
