Masuduzzaman Rajib: in Mirsarai Abul Hasnat Habib was arrested in a case of propaganda about the central Jubo League leader Niaz Morshed Elite on social media. On September 10 (Sunday) around 3:30 am, he was arrested from Swapna Manzil, adjacent to Latifia Gate, Mirsarai, Chittagong.
After his arrest, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit applied to the court seeking a 5-day remand for questioning him. According to CTTC unit sources, the accused Abul Hasnat alias Habib Khan was arrested on Sunday morning for the crime of spreading misinformation through social media. The court granted a 3-day remand to Habib, who was arrested for 5-day remand for the interrogation related to the case and the recovery of the fake Facebook ID used in the incident and the arrest of the accused co-accused. In this regard, it is known from various sources that the accused have been spreading propaganda against the central Jubo League leader Elite for a long time through social media. On August 3, Jubo League activist Md. Achifur Rahman filed a case against four people under the Digital Security Act at Banani police station.
