Mahabub Rahman Biplab, Rangpur Divisional Bureau Chief: A clash between two wards UP supporters in Badarganj of Rangpur over road construction took place in a hospital under treatment. It is known that two groups were formed between the supporters of Vartanan member Majed and the nearest member candidate Kalam after the Union Parishad election in Khod Bujruk Bagbar village in Bishnupur union of upazila. Villagers have been fed up with extreme fear of long-running chases, vandalism, looting, clashes and lawsuits between the two groups. There have also been cases of people fleeing their homes, including group change, to escape fear of their terrorist activities. The villagers have sought the intervention of the Upazila Law and Order Committee for the safety of the lives and property of the people of the village along with reconciliation between the two groups. Meanwhile, last Thursday, Abu Mucha of Kalam group broke the boundary wall of the local mosque and tried to build a road leading to his house by cutting the soil over the cultivated land of the people. Upon receiving this news, the members of the current ward UP member group and the Muslims of the mosque unitedly protested and 5 people were seriously injured in the face-to-face clash between the two groups. The locals admitted them to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital in an injured state. A man named Janjimul, son of Ajmal, who was injured in the clash, died last night while undergoing treatment. On Friday afternoon, grave digging is going on in that village to bury the body. Janjid's family, who was killed in this incident, filed a murder complaint with the police station. Abu Mucha said, I am an ordinary farmer and my family runs by driving a van. Trying hard to educate boys and girls. Acknowledging their revenge, my family does not allow us to walk as the road crosses their land. I could not even fix my daughter's marriage because there was no road. So when everyone in the mosque tried to build a road to and from my house, Majed member's people stopped it. One person on my side was seriously injured and killed by their caning. We poor people to whom to seek justice, we have been under house arrest for months. Abul Kalam said, "Majed member, in the name of social service, has been carrying out torture, brutality and terrorist activities on my people day after day, no one is spared by fear." To protest, Pithiye and Mirthya sued him with his terrorist forces. Majed member said, I don't have any group or terrorist group. If it were all this, people would not have elected me as a public representative again and again. Seeing my popularity in the area, whatever happens in the village, the opponents, whether they know it or not, are planning to spread false propaganda against me. However, did they decide to build a road by breaking the boundary wall of the House of Allah Mosque? The Muslims of the mosque have stopped, where is my fault? I have never stopped anyone from walking on the road. I am an organizational and injustice protester. No conspiracy can hold me down, the people are with me. Today one of my constituents was killed while undergoing treatment and several others are undergoing treatment in hospital. The duty officer of Badarganj police station said that the police are at the spot to control the situation and preparations are underway to file a case.
