IGP completed a year of success in his duties

Staff Correspondent :  Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun BPM (Bar), PPM has successfully completed one year of duty. On the occasion of the anniversary, the colleagues have organized a sincere and memorable event full of love. Additional IGPs, heads of various units of Dhaka Police and senior officials of Police Headquarters were present in the event organized at the Hall of Pride of the Police Headquarters on October 2, Monday afternoon. Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun BPM (Bar), who is known as an honest, efficient and professional police officer, expressed his gratitude to the Almighty God. Expressing deep respect and gratitude to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali father of the nation, he said, "If Bangabandhu had not made the country independent, we could not have reached this stage today." He said, Hon'ble Prime Minister entrusted me with the responsibility of IGP. I am thankful to Hon'ble Prime Minister. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to his colleagues for organizing this event to congratulate him on the anniversary of serving as IGP. He said, colleagues at all levels have sincerely supported me in the performance of duties. If there is any achievement during my career, it is of all my colleagues. And if there is a failure, it is mine as the Police chief. The police chief said, stable law and order prevails in the country because we are all working well together. Bangladesh Police has progressed a lot. That's why we should not be complacent, we have the opportunity to do better. More to come in the coming days. He said that the members of Bangladesh Police are performing their duties for the country and the people with sincerity and devotion. That is why I feel proud as the chief of forces. He expressed his expectation to carry out his duties properly in the coming days as well. He expressed his hope that policemen of all ranks, starting from constables, have helped me in the coming days. Additional IGP (Administration) Md. Qamrul Ahsan BPM (Bar), Head of Special Branch (Additional IGP) Md. Monirul Islam BPM (Bar), PPM (Bar), Additional IGP of Anti-Terrorism Unit SM Ruhul Amin, among others, gave a memorial speech on the occasion. Additional IGP Md Mazharul Islam, Additional IGP Md Atiqul Islam BPM (Bar), PPM (Bar), Additional IGP of Naval Police Md Shafiqul Islam BPM (Bar), PPM, DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman BPM (Bar), PPM (Bar), DIG (Headquarters) Khandkar Lutful Kabir BPM, PPM, Dhaka Range DIG Syed Nurul Islam BPM (Bar), PPM etc. On the occasion, heads of various units of Dhaka Police greeted the IGP with flowers. A cake was cut and a documentary was screened to commemorate the occasion.
