The first meeting of Bangladesh Film Artists Welfare Trust was held today with trust board chairman Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud in the chair.
Secretary of the ministry conducted the meeting, held at the meeting room of the ministry at Secretariat in the city.
The meeting discussed about future activities, said a release.
Trust members Suborna Mustafa, MP, additional secretary of the ministry (admin and films) Md Mijan-ul-Alam, Prime Minister’s Office director general-2 Md Azizur Rahman, additional secretary (admin) of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Hasna Jahan Khanam, joint secretary of finance division Fatema Rahim Bhina, cultural personality Shahiduzzaman Selim, Film Director Association president Sohanur Rahman Sohan, managing director of the trust Nuzhat Yeasmin, took part in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed about collecting ‘seed money’ to form fund and to appoint employees.
