At least 6,676 new infections were recorded and 10 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current positivity rate is 20.88 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.66 percent.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,154 and the mortality rate stands at 1.73 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 16,24,387 added the release.
A total of 31,980 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours. At least 427 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,53,320 and the recovery rate at 95.62 percent, added the release.
Of the 10 deceased, four were male and six female and they were aged between 31-90 years old, added the release.
