In the past 24 hours, the Barishal division has logged 13 new Covid deaths, health officials said.
There were six deceased who had tested positive for Covid-19, and seven others who had symptoms of the disease.
The officials said ten of the victims died at the Sher-E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH) and the others at other hospitals.
According to Dr. Basudev Kumar Das, the Division's health director, 569 patients have died of Covid-19 so far.
Furthermore, 389 people have tested positive for Covid in the Barishal division in the past 24 hours.
The Barishal district alone is home to 152 of them. A total of 16,323 people have been infected in the district.
Covid has identified about 39,742 active patients in the division, according to the officials.
The SBMCH has confirmed the presence of 64 confirmed cases of Covid among the 210 patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.
