Police arrested 16 BNP-Jamaat leaders in Thakurgaon sabotage case

Mahabub Rahman Biplab, Rangpur / Irina Jannat Eva, Thakurgaon District corrrespondant :   Last night they were arrested by conducting raids in various upazilas of Thakurgaon district of Rangpur division.
Thakurgaon District BNP Office Secretary Mamunur Rashid Mamun and Superintendent of Police Uttam Prasad Pathak confirmed the matter. The arrested are District BNP member Abdus Samad Miller, Haripur Upazila Organizing Secretary Saiful Islam, Ranishankail Upazila Juba Dal General Secretary Atik, Ranishankail Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Bakul Majumdar, Baliadangi Upazila Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Abu Saeed, Jubo Dal Member Mithu, Duosuo Union BNP President Safiqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Sukhanpukuri Union BNP Member Helal Uddin, Verjeya Union Farmers Dal Vice President Idu Ullah, Verjeya 2nd Ward BNP President Tinku, Ruhia Thana No. 1 Union Volunteers General secretary of the party Ayub Ali, organizing secretary of No. 5 Syedpur Union Volunteer Party of Pirganj Upazila Imran Ali, No. 3 Khangaon Union Chhatra Dal member Al Amin. Jamaat members are - Al Amin, Wahab and Ziarul.
Superintendent of Police Uttam Prasad Pathak said that they were arrested in various police stations of the district in the case of sabotage. Later today around 3:30 pm they were sent to jail through the court.
