Staff Reporter: In the capital's larger Tongi area, people's lives have become miserable due to the reckless violence of so called police sources. There have been reports of various crimes against Mujahid, a so-called police source.
According to multiple sources and sufferer, Tongi controls smuggled markets in Boubazar, controls gambling and sidewalk/footpath shops around railway lines, controls drugs and robbers, controls juvenile gangs. Control of prostitute trade with the help of various police constables and AS-IDs, caught and released them after taking money.
A source who did not wish to be named said that ten years ago, the then SI of Tongi police station started working as Nazmul's source and now he is running strong. Even though Nazmul has no primary education even, he himself are harassing innocent people day and night using the police name. Not only this, this police source Mujahid maintains a group to serve his own illegal interests.
Tongi, Uttara, various surrounding areas by extorting money from various residential hotels. Concerned victims and local residents are demanding the punishment of this police source Mujahid who harassed helpless innocent people in various ways by threatening them with police lawsuits.
