Bangladesh Women's team was eliminated from the Asia Cup after their match against United Arab Emirates was washed out due to persistent rain at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.
Defending Champions, Bangladesh were expecting to win the game, which could take them to the semifinal but it was not to be. But the blunder was made in the last game when they failed win the rain-curtailed game against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh women's team's target was set for just 41 runs in seven overs after the rain interrupted the proceedings of the match but they were restricted to 37-7 and eventually dug their own graveyards.Still there was hope that if they could win today's game against UAE, they were able to beat Thailand by better run rate and move to the semifinal but the rain came as curse for them.
