The selection of managing committee of Ayanapur High School, a traditional educational institution of Sherpur's Jhenaigati upazila, has been completed. Voting in this election continued from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Monday, October 3 despite the inclement weather and intermittent rain.
Against 313 voters, a total of 16 candidates including 10 candidates for the post of guardian member, 3 for the post of female guardian member (reserved), and 3 for the post of teacher representative participated in the election.do There was no election for the said post as the unopposed reserved female teacher representative. Kajal Mahmud (received votes-170), Md. was elected to the position of guardian member by direct vote.
Zainal Abdin (received votes-138), Md. Mahijal Haque (received votes-135), Shahjahan (received votes-81). Delete the rank of Guardian Member (Reserved). Jannatara (votes received-149), nearest competitor Chalema received votes-96. Nuruzzaman (received votes-9) and Md. Ibrahim Khalil (8 votes) was elected.
The presiding officer of the said election As an officer, upazila secondary education officer Md. Mustafa Kamal He was fully supported by Headmaster Chankya Sarkar, Police Station SI Farid Uddin, ASI Atiqur Rahman and other policemen.
