The government has decided to set new office hours from 8am to 3pm from Wednesday for all government and autonomous institutions.
The decision was taken at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Secretariat on Monday.
The premier joined the meeting from her Ganabhaban residence while her cabinet colleagues were connected from the cabinet division.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam confirmed this at a press briefing after meeting.
