Mahabub Rahman Biplab, Bureau Chief Rangpur: "Community Policing Meeting and Open House-Day" was held in Taraganj, Ikarchali High School grounds with the slogan "Rangpure Police is Janata - Janatai Police". Taraganj police station of Rangpur district organized this program to prevent women and child abuse, child marriage, drugs, gambling, terrorism, militancy, suicide, theft.
Superintendent of Police Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury (promoted to the post of Additional DIG) was present as the chief guest in the program under the chairmanship of Md. Chiddikul Islam, Officer In-charge, Taraganj Police Station.
He said to all present, police are people's friend. Bangladesh Police Force is working tirelessly to protect public safety and law and order. Police will stand by the public in any need and provide maximum service.
Besides, he gave public awareness speech on drugs, online gambling, abuse of women and children, theft, robbery etc. It is possible to build a crime free society with the collective efforts of all members of the society. He urged all those present to cooperate with the police and the public in fighting crime. After that blankets were distributed among hundreds of cold people in the organization of District Police, Rangpur.

Nasim Uddin, President, Community Policing, Rangpur District; Ali Ibadat Hossain Pilot, Upazila Chairman; Taraganj, Rangpur, Mr. Manjushree Saha, Women Affairs Secretary, Community Policing, Rangpur; Advocate Dilshad Islam, General Secretary, Community Policing, Rangpur Md Abu Ashraf Siddiqui, Additional Superintendent of Police (B-Circle), Rangpur; Md. Zahurul Haque, Inspector of Police (Investigation) Taraganj Police Station, Rangpur and various Union Parishad chairmen, political figures, brave freedom fighters, teachers, students, district and police station community policing members and common people of various classes and professions.
