Mushfiqur Rahim returned to the fold to play his 100th T20 game as Bangladesh opted to bat first after its captain Mahmudullah
Riyad won the toss in the second and series ending T20 game today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The wicket-keeper batter became only the second player after Mahmudullah to play the 100 game for Bangladesh in this shortest format of the cricket.
He could have reached this magical three figure mark in first T20 but a thumb injury ruled him out from that match. To make his way, Yasir Ali was dropped.
Bangladesh are now leading the two-match T20 series 1-0 following their 61-run win in the first game. A victory would help them whitewash Afghanistan for the first time in any format of cricket.
Earlier they failed to sweep the three-match ODI series, following their loss in the third game and were left satisfied with 2-1 result.
In a bid to avoid the whitewash, Afghanistan however brought up two changes with Sharafuddin Ashraf and Usman Ghani replacing injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Qais Ahmed.
