Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam has published the admission notice for the 2021-22 academic year graduation (honours) class. Admission application will start from October 17. Candidates who have cleared the batch admission test can apply online.
On Tuesday (October 11), the registrar of the University informed in a circular signed by Humayun Kabir.
According to the notification information, Nazrul belongs to the 'A' unit of the universityThere are total 160 seats under Among them, there are 40 seats in Computer Science and Engineering department, 40 seats in Electrical and Electronic Engineering department, 40 seats in Environmental Science and Engineering department and 40 seats in Statistics department.
There are total 700 seats under 'B' unit. 55 in Bengali language and literature department, 50 in English language and literature department, 55 in music department, 50 in economics department, 40 in fine arts department, 25 in theater and performance studies department, 50 in public administration and government management department., there are 50 Departments in Folklore Department, 25 Departments in Film and Media Studies Department, 50 Departments in Law and Judiciary Department, 50 Departments in Anthropology Department, 50 Departments in Population Science Department, 50 Departments in Local Government and Urban Development Department, 50 Departments in Philosophy Department, 50 Departments in Sociology Department.
There are 220 seats under 'C' unit. There are 50 seats in Accounting and Information Systems, 40 in Finance and Banking, 50 in Human Resource Management, 50 in Management and 30 in Marketing.
Eligibility of Application 2017, 2018 and 2019Candidates who have passed SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent, Diploma-in-Commerce, HSC (Vocational), 'A' Level and other equivalent examinations of 2020 and 2021 under Bangladesh Board of Technical Education [with approval by Equivalency Determination Committee] only apply for admission test.
Can do Application Rules
(a) To apply applicants have to visit the website http://gstadmission.jkkniu.edu.bd and login with the following information. Admission Test Unit, Roll Number, HSC Exam Registration Number.
(b) MentionIf the information is correct, the applicant will see a dashboard with the marks obtained in various subjects in the batch admission test, GP obtained in HSC and SSC.
(c) Click on Apply Now button to apply for admission now. This time will show quota information. If there is no quota, select No Quota, if there is a quota, select the specified quota and go to the next step.
(d) At this stage the applicant will see each faculty of the university and the departments included in the faculty. Applicants must meet the Faculty and Departmental Prerequisites mentioned in this notificationYou will see a tick mark next to the section if it is fulfilled, a cross if the condition is not fulfilled. The applicant will proceed to the next step by clicking on the Apply button next to the faculty to which he/she wishes to apply.
(e) At this stage the applicant has to pay the application fee for his/her assigned faculty. Application fee can be deposited through various online gateways and mobile banking services (Sonali Bank, Bikash, Naqd, U-Cash etc.). Details can be found in the section 'Application Fee Deposit Procedure'.
(f) Applicants after completion of application fee submission process(Application Status page will appear. Here the applicant can see all his applications and can download and collect the fee-deposit receipt of each application by clicking on the download button.
The university has to pay a fee of 510 rupees including charges for each unit. The marks obtained in the batch admission test will be multiplied with the GPA obtained in the 4th subject of the SSC/Dakhil/Equivalent and HSC/Alim/Equivalent examination as per the following rules and maximum 12 and 18 marks respectively (total 30 marks) will be added. Rules for adding marks in case of GPA are as follows-2.4 times with GPA obtained in SSC/equivalent and 3.5 times with GPA obtained in HSC/equivalent. Letter grade grade points obtained in 'O' level and 'A' level examinations should be used as GPA accostudents.
Besides, the candidate applying for the quota must mention the prescribed quota at the time of application. If the quota is not mentioned at the time of application, he will not be considered for the quota later.
At the time of admission, the following certificates must be brought for quota admission students:
(a) SSC and HSC ExaminationsOriginal Mark Sheet, Registration Card, Original Certificate, Admission Test Admit Card.
(b) Original freedom fighter certificate and Muktibarta/Gazette copy of father/mother, grandfather/grandmother, paternal grandmother/grandmother issued by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of those seeking admission in the freedom fighter quota; No other certificate is acceptable.
(c) Marriage certificate of parents, national identity card in case of freedom fighter's grandchildren quota, marriage affidavit of parents and their national identity card in case of Sanatan and other religions.
(d)Original certificate in favor of relevant quota proof for other quota candidates. * Certificates in process will not be considered for admission in Muktijodha Quota. * Admission of admitted students will be confirmed after certificate verification. * 1% seats will be reserved in war casualty freedom fighter quota. In that case they have to bring their credentials during the interview. *In case of admission under Harijan Quota, students have to submit certificate and birth certificate issued by District Administrator/Upazila Executive Officer.
