Staff Reporter : Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) Inform ATU mobile app based on complaints received Last November 24 (Friday) at 3 o'clock in the night, DMP conducted an operation in the Satmasjid housing area of Mohammadpur police station and arrested 01 (one) member of the online fraud circle. According to ATU, the arrested accused is Rabiul Islam (30), son of Jaron Molla of Hazrapur village of Sadar police station in Magura district. During this time, 1 laptop, 3 mobiles and 12 SIMs of various operators, passport, bank card, NID and check book of the bank were seized from the accused. In this regard, according to the information provided by the complainant in the ATU App, he found a site called Anne Amazon Apps online a few days ago, and the customer will receive a commission if he buys products from them with an online account and places them online in their store. He believed in the words of the members who managed the App in good faith and sent a total of three lakhs and fifty thousand rupees as an investment through Bikash and Rocket in the hope of business profit. Accused Rabiul Islam accepted the said money by cashing it out but without giving goods equal to the money invested by him, the members of the organized fraud circle shared it. After reviewing the received information, the raid team of ATU took the accused Rabiul Islam into custody from the Satmasjid housing area of Mohammadpur police station of DMP and later, based on the information provided by the accused Rabiul, went to Uttara to arrest the Chinese national Li Jiang and others involved in various fraudulent activities including online job fraud, betting site loan project. The accused escaped while raiding a house. During the operation in Uttara, 35 Android mobile sets, 4 laptops, 24 SIM cards and USB port hubs used for cheating the members of this gang were seized. Legal action was taken against the arrested and absconding accused in the said incident.
