The river is a living entity; To save Bangladesh, the river must be saved
Md Masuduzzaman Rajib: On the occasion of 'World River Day' on 24 September 2023, a children's painting competition organized by the river-based organization 'Nongar' and in collaboration with Bangladesh Shishu Academy was inaugurated. On September 22 (Friday). afternoon, Roknuzzaman Dadabhai Hall of Bangladesh Shishu Academy chaired by Suman Shams, Chairman of Anchor, international famous painter Shahabuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest and Bangladesh Shishu Academy Director General Anjeer Liton was the special guest. In his speech, the chief guest said, 'If Bangladesh is to be kept alive, the river must be kept alive.
If today's children grow up with compassion for the river, they will be able to take the lead in building a prosperous Bangladesh by protecting the natural balance in the future.' The special guest on the occasion said, 'People can become real artists only if they have deep love for the country and people.' Meanwhile, the president of the event, chairman of 'Nongar', Sumon Shams, called upon everyone to come forward to save the river and the prize will be handed over to the winners of the drawing competition at the National Press Club on September 24.
