Fake tokens made against BNP leader in Kamalnagar

Own Correspondent: Nirab Talukder, joint convener of Patwarihat Union BNP in Kamalnagar Upazila of Lakshmipur, has been accused of deliberately making fake tokens for distributing rice for Eid VGF and defaming him. He also alleged that false and fabricated propaganda was being spread to tarnish his reputation. He made this allegation to journalists while talking to a local Chinese restaurant on Tuesday afternoon, June 17.

At that time, he alleged, "I am a tested worker of BNP. I was the organizing secretary of Patwarihat Union BNP for a long time. I have been serving as the joint convener for the next eight years. I have been the victim of many attacks and cases during the tenure of the fallen government. I have been affected in various ways. For some time now, some circles have been systematically conspiring against me to tarnish my political and family reputation. He further said, my wife is a reserved woman member of Ward No. 1.2.3 of Patwarihat UP. As a representative of my wife, I am also a public representative of the Parishad. On that occasion, I was allotted 250 Eid VGF tokens (10 kg rice) given by the government to the Parishad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. I distributed those tokens among the poor and helpless families of the area. But a malicious group made fake tokens as a tactic to humiliate me. They handed over those tokens to their own people and sent them to collect rice. Later, when I went to collect rice, they detained the union administrator and tag officer. And on dramatic recommendation, they released them without giving them rice. In this way, 11 fake tokens were seized. A party deliberately spread the false propaganda that I had forged the tokens. They even spread it on social media including Facebook.

He said, "During the runaway government, my wife was elected as a UP member. Due to that, for the past 7 years, I have been aware of all the activities of that Union Parishad. I have strongly protested against any irregularities. The chairman was the Upazila General Secretary of the Awami League. Most of the members are from the Awami League. Because I joined the BNP, I have always been deprived of any kind of privileges of the Parishad. All the members joined hands with the chairman and committed corruption. The chairman was a great corruptor, and the chairman's right-hand man was Bashir Member. But even after the change of government, the previous syndicate is still active. Basically, the previous syndicate is still in existence and committing all kinds of corruption. Because I protested against their corruption, a token fraud incident was created against me by conspiring. Two people who do not know me made a video on their mobile phones and spread the false information of token fraud against me on Facebook. Which is completely intentional, fabricated and baseless."

He also said that he has been attacked in several cases due to his BNP affiliation. During the runaway government, he was deprived of the warehouse business at Patwarihat fish market. The friends of the fallen Awami League have even snatched away a motorcycle and a shop in the market. Despite all this, he did not do anything against the party's policy, nor did he stop. But he came at the right time for the party and became a victim of conspiracy by some members of his own council. He even had to suffer mental and physical harassment. Those who have become crocodiles by looting government allocations for the people; now their map remains to be swallowed whole.
