BNP leaders and activists congratulate Rupganj UP administrator and 12 members

 Narayanganj Correspondent: After the administrative approval of the Local Government Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives for the appointment of the administrator and 12 members of the Rupganj Union Parishad of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj, BNP and its affiliated organizations congratulated and welcomed the newly appointed officials.
The reception program was organized at the courtyard of Haji Md. Bashir Uddin Bachchu in the Brahmankhali area of ​​Rupganj Union on Friday (July 18) afternoon. The program was presided over by Rupganj Upazila BNP General Secretary Haji Md. Bashir Uddin Bachchu.
Earlier, a notification issued by the Union-1 branch of the Local Government Department on July 16 said that, in view of the recommendation of the Deputy Commissioner Narayanganj, administrative approval has been given to appoint the administrator and 12 members of the expired Rupganj Union Parishad as per Section 18 of the Local Government (Union Parishad) Act, 2009 (Amended-2024).
According to the notification, Md. Nurnabi Bhuiyan has been appointed as the administrator of Rupganj Union Parishad. Md. Sharif Mia, Md. Obaidul Haque, Taibur Rahman, Safiuddin Mollah, Nazrul Islam, Md. Mamun Hossain Bhuiyan, Saidur Rahman, Md. Bachchu Mia and Md. Al Amin Masud have been appointed as general members. Selina Begum, Hasnara Begum and Ruby Akhter have been appointed as reserved women members.
At the reception, the speakers said that the newly appointed administrators and members will perform their duties with transparency, accountability and dedication as per the expectations of the people. They also expressed hope that they will play an effective role in the overall development of the union, ensuring public services and resolving local problems quickly.
In the president's speech, Haji Md. Bashir Uddin Bachchu congratulated the newly appointed administrators and members and said, "Everyone must work together for the welfare of the people of Rupganj Union. A service-oriented Union Parishad must be built by gaining the trust of the people." At the end of the ceremony, the leaders and activists of BNP and allied organizations presented floral greetings to the newly appointed administrators and 12 members and honored them by wearing their uttariyas.
