Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized Indian goods and five cows in the border area of Feni's Parshuram and Chaglanaiya upazila. Feni Battalion 4-BGB captain Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the information in the media on Wednesday. He also said that members of the Feni Battalion 4-BGB launched an anti-smuggling operation in the border areas of Devpur, Jashpur, Madhugram, Champaknagar, and Parasuram BOP on Wednesday morning.
BGB members chased when a truck tried to escape quickly after seeing BGB members during the operation. At one point, the truck driver fled the Mofiz construction area in the Bisic Mora area of Feni city. Later, the BGB members seized the truck and recovered Indian sarees, three pieces, a lehenga, various types of fireworks, and Indian Oris cigarettes from the truck. Also, smuggling businessmen fled with 5 Indian cows from the Madhugram area. The estimated value of the seized goods has been deposited at Tk 1 crore 37 lakh, and the seized goods have been deposited in Feni customs.
