Shah Ali Bachchu Jamalpur.A discussion meeting and a 3-day agricultural fair were inaugurated in Jamalpur under the initiative of the Sadar Upazila Agricultural Extension Department.
A discussion meeting was held under the organization of the Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Agricultural Extension Department to increase crop density.
The meeting was held at the Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Monday, July 28 at noon.
The meeting was presided over by Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Jinnat Shahid Pinki.
Dr. Salma Laiju, Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Mymensingh Region, agriculturist, spoke as the chief guest.
In his speech as the chief guest, he said, “Good agricultural practices are the main objective of the crop density increase project. Through this project, crop density will be increased by training farmers and ensuring maximum use of land through pesticide-free cultivation and balanced fertilizer use.”
Special guests who spoke at the meeting included Jamalpur Farm House Deputy Director Agriculturalist Zakia Sultana, Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Emdadul Haque, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tanvir Haider and Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Md. Sirajus Salehin, among others.
After the meeting, the guests inaugurated the 3-day agricultural fair.
