Benjamin Rafiq: Ehteshamul Haque, a Bangladeshi expatriate living in Los Angeles, North America, returned to his homeland with his family and organized a reunion with all his relatives and well-wishers at the local Noor Community Center on Saturday (July 12).
Organized by the Ehteshamul Haque-Shahanara Haque couple, the get-together event was attended by relatives, friends and others, including former Managing Director of Janata Bank M.A. Hashem, spiritual saint, Alhaj Dewan Mohammad Saidur Rahman Saidabadi Huzur, Dhaka Metropolitan South Ward 49 Councilor Alhaj Badal Sardar, BNP leader Jamshed Alam Shyamal, Ward 48 BNP Member Secretary Jahangir Alam, Jatrabari Journalist Club President Shafiqul Islam Saddam, etc. Along with lunch, the entire community center turned into a joyous festival with the music of the artists who came throughout the day. The media partner of the entire event was the National Weekly Information Bureau. When asked about their feelings, the Ehteshamul Haque-Shahanara Haque couple said with a smile that the feeling of returning to the country after a long time is beyond words. We express our gratitude to Allah for fulfilling our desire to see everyone including our relatives in one place.
