A fire broke out in a semi-permanent house in the Kazir Dewri area of Chattogram City. The incident occurred around 1:40 PM on Wednesday (February 5) in the Sanmar Gali, Jasim Uddin Colony, due to an electrical short circuit. Although the fire caused damage amounting to two lakh taka, there were no casualties. The Fire Service authorities successfully extinguished the fire after half an hour of effort.
Abdul Malek, Deputy Director of Agrabad Fire Service, stated that two fire units responded to the scene and were able to put out the fire by 2:10 PM. He confirmed that there were no injuries, but the fire caused an estimated loss of two lakh taka, while goods worth approximately ten lakh taka were salvaged.
