Md. Alamgir. The seventh death anniversary of MK Anwar, a former minister, member of the BNP standing committee, member of the cabinet, elected member of Meghna-Meghna and development of Titas upazila, was celebrated yesterday (October 24) at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday at the BNP head office, adjacent to the upazila bus stand, Meghna. The upazila late MK Anwar Memorial Council held Milad Doa Mahfil, a discussion meeting was held after distribution of Tabarak. Mahmud Anwar Qaizar, the well-deserved son of late MK Anwar, was present as the chief guest. Principal Md. Salim Bhuiyan, Organizing Secretary of Central Executive Committee BNP (Comilla Division) was present as the main speaker. The late MK Anwar Memorial Parishad was presided over by the convenor of Meghna Upazila, Bir Muktijoddha Abbas Uddin Ahmed, and moderated by Meghna Upazila BNP Member Secretary Azharul Haque (Shaheen), Comilla North District BNP Convener Aktaruzzaman Sarkar, Comilla North District BNP Member Secretary A. FM Tarek Munshi, Acting Convener of Meghna Upazila BNP Abdul Adud Munshi, Joint Convener of Meghna Upazila BNP Md Shahid Ullah Sarkar, Co-Convener of Meghna Upazila BNP Add Hatim Ali, Co-Convener of Meghna Upazila BNP Abdul Matin, Joint Convener of Meghna Upazila BNP Md. Shahab Uddin, Meghna Upazila BNP Joint Convener Abdul Ghaffar, Meghna Upazila BNP Joint Convener Zahirul Islam Zahir along with leaders of Meghna Upazila BNP and affiliated organizations etc. Note, 2017 AD. He died at the age of 84 due to old age at his residence in Elephant Road, Dhaka on 24 October.
