Staff Reporter: Bilkis Sultana has been nominated for various positions in the central partial committee of the Bangladesh River Environment Protection Rights Society, with Md. Zahirul Haque Chowdhury as the senior vice chairman and Md. Zahirul Haque Chowdhury as the secretary general.

Recently, the chairman of the organization, Md. Rabiul Islam (Rabi), announced the names of the nominees at a modest ceremony.

The nominees for various positions of the central committee are - Bilkis Sultana Senior Vice Chairman, Saeed Hasan - Vice Chairman, Md. Zahirul Haque Chowdhury - Secretary General, Nurnabi Islam - Secretary General of the YGMU, Sagar Al-Amin - Joint Secretary General, Abul Bashar Badal - Organizational Secretary, Shamim Ahmed Secretary for Education Affairs, Dr. Md. Imamur Rashid - Secretary for Health Affairs, Jobair Ahmed - Secretary for Social Welfare Affairs, Md. Amir Hossain - Secretary for Relief and Disaster Affairs, Sourav Hasan Chowdhury - Secretary for Publicity Affairs, Md. Shafiqul Islam Alam - Secretary for Youth and Sports Affairs, Md. Safir Uddin - Coordinator, Md. Jahangir Alam - Coordinator, Md. Roknuzzaman - Coordinator, Md. Mozahidul Islam - Coordinator, Sramik Al-Mamun - Coordinator.

It is worth mentioning that Md. Rabiul Islam Robi, the central chairman of the Bangladesh River Environment Protection Rights Society, is a prominent successful businessman, industrialist and social worker. He is also the managing editor of the English national daily Daily Morning Glory, senior vice chairman of the human rights organization Bangladesh Legal and Human Rights Services Foundation, president of the Dhaka Metropolitan Small Business Association, former editor of the online newspaper 52 and World News, and a member of the Central Leaders Cooperative Consortium. He is engaged in the service of the country and the nation in important positions in various organizations.

The chairman of the organization, Md. Rabiul Islam (Rabi), confirmed the matter of the persons nominated for the mentioned positions in light of the past experience in protecting rivers and the environment and said, "From the day of announcement, the nominated office bearers will start fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to them and will play a special role in protecting and developing rivers and the environment for the welfare of the state, country and nation by making the organization more dynamic and accelerated."
