News Desk: A fire broke out at the Liberation War Museum in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Agargaon, in the capital due to an electrical fault. The fire service said that the fire was extinguished in 46 minutes with the efforts of two units of the fire service.
Fire Service Control Room Officer Talha Bin Jasim confirmed this information on Monday (March 10).
Talha Bin Jasim said that he received information about the fire at the Liberation War Museum in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Agargaon, in the capital at around 9 am. Later, at 9:20 am, two units of Mohammadpur Fire Station reached the spot and started working to control the fire. Later, the fire was brought under control by 9:36 am and the fire was completely extinguished by 9:46 am.
Stating that the fire broke out in the generator room on the ground floor of the 4-storey building of the Liberation War Museum, he said that the fire started due to an electrical fault. Although an estimated Tk 50 lakh worth of property was recovered in the incident, Tk 5 lakh worth of property was damaged. The official could not immediately provide any information about the casualties.
