Anti-drug rally held in Pubail Kazipara, Gazipur city

Kazi Shahid, Gazipur correspondent: With the theme of “To build a beautiful society – say no to drugs, build a drug-free society”, an anti-drug rally was held in Kazipara, ward number 41 of Gazipur city. Local dignitaries, political leaders, police administration officials and people from different classes and professions participated in the rally organized by Kazipara Youth Development Association at 4:30 pm on Friday (July 24). The speakers at the rally said that drugs are a terrible curse for the society. To protect the youth from the terrible clutches of drugs, the family, society, administration and political leadership must work together. They called for establishing a safe and drug-free society by building social resistance against drugs and increasing awareness. Alhaj Monir Hossain Sikder (Bokul), President of Pubail Metro Police Station BNP, was present as the chief guest at the event. Pubail Metro Thana BNP General Secretary Harun Or Rashid Sarkar and Pubail Metro Thana Officer-in-Charge (Officer-in-Charge) Md. Atiqur Rahman were present as special guests. Also present were Pubail Metro Thana BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Zakir Hossain Sarkar, Vice Presidents Md. Rabiul Islam Awlad and Sheikh Tanvir Ahmed, Ward No. 41 BNP President Mosharraf Hossain Dewan, General Secretary Md. Al-Amin Molla, Pubail Metro Thana BNP members Asad Hossain Khan (Bulbul) and Sakhawat Hossain Khan (Khokon) and local dignitaries. The organizers said that such public awareness programs will continue in the future to build a social movement against drugs and make the young generation aware.
