News Desk : August 6, 2024; Dhaka: The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) is calling for urgent steps to be taken to improve the law and order situation in the country and to keep the economic activities running. At the same time, FBCCI is calling for the formation of an interim government immediately.

FBCCI wishes for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the recent tragic incident and expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Also, wishing a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the incident.
In the current situation, the country's economic activities including supply chain, import-export are being disrupted and businessmen and entrepreneurs are suffering financially. In such a situation, if effective measures are not taken quickly, the disruption in the supply system will cause further damage to the economy.
In this situation, it is very important to keep the industries and economic activities running again for the greater interest of the nation. FBCCI is calling for the immediate formation of an interim government to further improve the law and order situation through proper enforcement of laws to bring back momentum in economic activities. FBCCI requests all concerned to take necessary action in this regard.
All trade bodies including FBCCI are committed to work together with the interim government to revive the economy and national prosperity. FBCCI expects the national economy to return to normal at the earliest.
