Staff Reporter: Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul, Central Chairman of the Writers Development Center, said that Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai has made an outstanding contribution to literature. Especially in children's literature, he has written numerous educational rhymes and poems. He has made an outstanding contribution to the practice and spread of children's literature by establishing a children's organization called 'Chander Hat'. The contribution and ideals he has left for human welfare should be made known to the new generation.

He said these words as the inaugurator of the 'Dadu Bhai Shishu Sahitya Utsab 2025' and Dadu Bhai Shishu Sahitya Puraskar ceremony organized by the Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh on the occasion of the 89th birth anniversary of prominent children's writer Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai at the Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad Auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon, January 11. In a discussion on the life, work and ideals of Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai, he further said, "We must remember and emulate the ideals and qualities of Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai." He called on all concerned to republish and widely publicize Rafiqul Haque Dadu Bhai's published and unpublished works. The event was organized under the overall supervision of the convener of Dadu Bhai Children's Literature Festival 2025, children's writer Imran Parash, and member secretary poet Touhidul Islam Kanak. Children's writer Sujan Barua, who received the Bangla Academy Award, was the chief guest. Special guests were Bangla Academy Award-winning poet Aslam Sani, former secretary and recitation artist Shawkat Ali, Jagrat Mahanayak Shihab Rifat Alam, actor and poet ABM Sohel Rashid, editor and publisher of Dainik Alokot Pratidin Dr. Syed Rono, advisor principal of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh Mohammad Ali Chowdhury Manik, poet Asad Kajal, organizing secretary of Smriti Ekattor Murshida Bhuiyan Mira, members of the editorial board of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh who participated in the discussion were poet Pradeep Mitra, literary editor poet Roli Akhter, organizing secretary poet Suborna Das, publicity secretary Nityananda Biswas, publishing secretary poet Wali Jasim, finance secretary artist Akhter, life members poet Bappi Saha, Eliza Rahman, poet Arabic Nur Lima, poet Ananta Riaz, poet Nadira Khanam, poet Humayun, poet Parimal Chandra Adhikari, vocalist Mamun, poet Shyamoli. Mandal, Gazi Nazneen, poet Mazharul Hannan, poet Sheikh Abdul Haque Chashi and poet Rabiul Mashrafe.

The program was presided over by freedom fighter Aminul Haque Bhuiyan. After the discussion, the Dadu Bhai Children's Literature Award was presented. This year, Rafiqul Haque received the Dadu Bhai Literature Award, children's writer Kaizar Chowdhury, children's writer Imran Parash, poet Zillur Rahman Zillu, poet Suborna Das, and Nadira Khanam.
