Staff Reporter,Chittagong District Police Assistant Superintendent of Police Mirsarai Circle, newly appointed ASP Md. Nadim Haider Chowdhury inspected the overall security arrangements of various puja mandap in Zorarganj and Mirsarai police stations on Sunday night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Zorarganj Police Station Md. Abdul Halim and responsible members of the concerned police stations were present during the inspection. It is learned that he inspected Ramlochan Mahajan Bari puja mandap in Bariyarhat Municipality, Khil Hinguli Kali Bari, Hajishwarai Primary School premises, Gopinathpur Durga Puja Mandap, Mithachara Bazar Sri Sri Mahamaya Temple, Abutorab Bazar Sri Sri Jagannath Dham Shiv Mandap and Kali Mata Vigraha Baru puja mandap. In this regard, the newly appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police of Mirsarai Circle, Md. Nadim Haider Chowdhury, said, "The autumn Durga Puja is a festival of universal joy. The police are always on alert to ensure maximum security at the puja mandap." During this time, he supervised the security of the puja mandap, installation of CCTV cameras, security arrangements of the police and other law enforcement agencies, and provided necessary directions. During the inspection, he exchanged views with the leaders of the Puja Celebration Council on the overall situation of the puja, expressing his wishes for the autumn and seeking everyone's cooperation in celebrating this autumn festival without any hindrance. He also called on everyone to be vocal against any kind of communal incitement and groups destroying harmony around this festival.
