Alam Khan (Special Correspondent): A unique initiative was organized by The Hunger Project Bangladesh on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Shital Hawa Restaurant Auditorium in Monohardi with the aim of bringing about social change for the benefit of humanity - a training program on Gender Awareness and Violence Prevention. The training, organized by PFG, was attended by Md. Russell Ahmed, Area Coordinator of The Hunger Project Bangladesh's MIPS Project, and Ripon Acharya, Field Coordinator, who shared various practical experiences and theoretical knowledge with the participants as trainers. At the end of the training, PFG Advisor Aminur Rahman Sarkar Dolon distributed certificates. The discussion brought up an in-depth analysis of gender inequality, the concept of equality and justice, the causes, types and social impact of violence against women. The training was attended by Peace Facilitator Group Peace Coordinator Kazi Anwar Kamal, Peace Ambassador Arifur Rahman Bhuiyan, Emdadul Haque Tito, Saidur Rahman Taslim, Nargis Sultana, WAVE Coordinator Masuda Akhter and other members, and representatives of the Women Against Violence Everywhere (WAVE) platform. The day-long training brought a message of renaissance—with the intention of opening a new horizon of equal rights, mutual respect and compassion for women and men in society.
