Lion Gani Mia Babul receives Bhinnomatra Writer Award

Special Correspondent: Eminent litterateur, poet and writer Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul has been awarded the 'Binnamatra Writer Award-2025'. On the evening of September 24, Binnamatra Publishing House Chairman Poet Masum Billah officially presented him with this award certificate at the National Press Club.
It is worth noting that the publication festival of 50 books published by Binnamatra Publishing House in 2025 and the Writer of the Year Award, Gold Medal Award for Special Contribution to Poetry were organized on August 29 (Friday) at the Cambrian College Auditorium in Uttara, Dhaka. The program was presided over by poet professor Angura Khatun, and the chief guest was Asian University's founding VC Professor Dr. Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadek. The main discussant was former State Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Syed Didar Bakht.
Although Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul was supposed to be formally awarded the ‘Bhinnamatra Writer Award-2025’ as the best writer of the year at this event, due to unavoidable reasons, Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul could not attend the event. Therefore, today, on the occasion of the 10 books of poetry published in 2025 by Binnamatra Publishing, he was presented with the said award, a certificate and the prescribed rosary.
It is worth noting that Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul has already gained considerable recognition by writing poems, rhymes, articles and columns in various media including national newspapers since the 80s. Among his published books, notable are educational rhymes and stories for children, Shubhrata has gone away, a poem, loving to live, Sidr Biddhasth Bakultala, Love in Nile Water, a speech of a speech, a ninth grade agricultural education support book, some words, and an agricultural diploma admission support book.
Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul was born on May 6, 1971 in a respectable Muslim family in Tepirbari village of Sreepur, Gazipur district. He is the proud son of eminent social worker Md. Ismail Hossain and the noble woman Ayesha Khatun. In his own area, he has established philanthropic institutions such as mosques, madrasas, schools, colleges, children's mass education centers, libraries, etc. He has been involved in journalism since 1987. He has made special contributions in the patronage of newspapers and news workers. He is the founder and chief advisor of Gazipur District Reporters Club, one of the donor members of Gazipur Press Club, and has been actively associated with the National Journalists Association since 1993. He has served as the central chief advisor, central executive president, standing council chairman and various important positions of this organization with appreciation at various times. He is serving as the joint editor of Nirapar News, editor and publisher of Bangladesh Sangbad. He has been performing his duties with appreciation as the Joint Secretary General of Nirapat Sarak Chai (NISCHA) for a long time. He has been working tirelessly with Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh for almost 25 years. He is currently serving as the Central President of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh. Earlier, he was the Chairman of the Standing Council of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh from 2004 to 2008 and from 2008 to 2012, he was the Central President of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh. Later, he served as the Chairman of the Standing Council of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh from 2014 to 2024. He is serving as the Central Chairman and Chief Advisor of the Writers Development Center.
He has been awarded more than two hundred honorary medals as the best organizer, including the internationally renowned Melvin Jones Fellow-MJF Honorary Medal given by Lions Clubs International for his special contribution to social service. He has made special contributions to the spread of education. In addition to working for social development through various socio-cultural organizations, he has been working tirelessly to help helpless people.
Various organizations and prominent individuals congratulated him on being honored with the award.
