Before the election, all fascists must be judged: Shahjahan Chowdhury

Shahjahan Chowdhury, the Amir of Chattogram City, Jamaat, has blamed former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for 16 years of killings, disappearances, and chaos. He has also demanded the trial of Sheikh Hasina and others before the general election. This demand was made by him on Wednesday, February 5, during an event organized by the city Jamaat at the Chattogram Press Club hall.

Former Whip Shahjahan Chowdhury stated, "For the last 16 years, Sheikh Hasina is the number one responsible for the killings, disappearances, and chaos. The Awami League is responsible for the unrest in the country. These fascists must be judged before the general election."

The chief guest of the event was Mohammad Shahjahan, Assistant Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami. During the unveiling of a memorial titled "Second Freedom Martyrs," which included information about the martyrs of the July-August popular uprising, he said, "We must unite to prevent the conspiracy to take Bangladesh in the direction against the spirit of the mass revolution in August. The illegal Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League are responsible for the murder, injustice, and torture of thousands of martyrs and injured people. These masterminds must be judged according to international standards. If other trials are not completed before the national elections, the trials of these masterminds must be concluded before the national election. Only then will the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh be reflected."

The event was presided over by the Secretary of Chattogram City Jamaat, Professor Muhammad Nurul Amin, and speeches were given by Chattogram region team member Professor Ahsan Ullah, former Chattogram North District Amir Professor Amiruzzaman, Alauddin Sikder, Naib Amir Dr. A.J.M. Obaidullah, and Muhammad Nazrul Islam.

The event was also attended by Afsar Uddin Chowdhury, editor of the daily Karnafuli newspaper, former Amir of North District Jamaat Professor Nurul Amin Chowdhury, South District Amir Anwarul Alam Chowdhury, Assistant Secretary Professor Maulana Khairul Bashar, Muhammad Ullah, and Faisal Muhammad Yunus, Organizational Secretary Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque, President of the Workers Welfare Federation Chattogram City S.M. Lutfor Rahman, Secretary of the Ulama Division Maulana Mamatajur Rahman, and members of the City Jamaat's working committee Dr. Siddiqur Rahman, Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, and Hamed Hassan Ilahi.
