Shah Ali Bachchu Jamalpur .: Jamalpur RAB-14 has recovered about 5 lakh Gillette blades illegally brought from India through the border. Microbus driver Md. Saddam Hossain (32) and Md. Abul Khair (22) who was in the car have been arrested. Md. Saddam Hossain is the son of Abdus Samad of Kharma Madhya Para area of Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur district and Md. Abul Khair is the son of Md. Asaduzzaman of Gamaria area of Dewanganj upazila. Jamalpur RAB-14 camp company commander and additional police superintendent ATM Aminul Islam confirmed the matter at 10:30 am on Wednesday (July 16). On the basis of secret information, at 5:30 am, Jamalpur RAB 14 smart operation team set up a check post in front of M/s Rokeya Filling Station in Binanderpara, Jamalpur Sadar Upazila section of Jamalpur-Tangail highway and conducted vehicle search. At that time, with the help of sources and information technology, the microbus going from Dewanganj to Jamalpur to Tangail was identified and searched. At that time, 4 lakh 74 thousand Gillette blades and the microbus were seized and 2 people in the microbus were arrested. The estimated value of the Gillette blades is 23 lakh 70 thousand taka. He further said that such operations will continue on behalf of RAB.
