Innocent people cannot be involved in increasing the number of arrests - Obaidul Quader

news Desk : Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that no innocent person can be implicated while increasing the number of arrests. I draw the attention of the law enforcement agencies, particularly the Home Minister, to ensure that no innocent person is arrested. He said these things at the press briefing organized after the joint meeting of Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday (July 30).

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, we all have to be careful. Awami League President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave this order. Be wary of rumour-mongers. Their information should be reported to law enforcement agencies.

Obaidul Quader said, according to our knowledge, no innocent person is being detained. Prime Minister's directives are aimed at ensuring that innocent and ordinary students are not harassed.

We will also say that our party also has a decision to ensure that no one who is innocent is found guilty or arrested in the name of mass arrest. An innocent person shall not be harassed under any circumstances. An innocent person cannot be implicated in increasing the number of arrests. I am drawing the attention of the law enforcement agencies, especially the Home Minister, to ensure that no innocent person is arrested.

General Secretary of Awami League also said that everyone is innocent and helpless before Mirza Fakhrul Saheb. So the question, who carried out this destruction? Who set the fire? Who did the hellish devastation in Bangladesh today? Today, the government and Awami League are blamed. I want to be clear, we are victims of this course of events, we were not the aggressors. Now the victims are being slandered.
