Two ships carrying a total of 37,000 tons of rice have arrived at the Port of Chittagong from India and Myanmar. This information was shared in a press release sent by the Ministry of Food on Wednesday, January 29.
According to the release, under the government-to-government (G2G) agreement, the MV ATN Victory ship arrived from Myanmar with 22,000 tons of parboiled rice, while the MV BMC Pandora brought 15,000 metric tons of white rice imported from India through an open tender process. Arrangements have been made to unload the rice from the ships quickly.
