Shariful Haque: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has joined as the new commissioner. Mainul Hasan. He sought the sincere cooperation of all the members of DMP and the people of the city in maintaining peace and order in the Dhaka metropolitan area.
Media and Public Relations Department of DMP informed this information on Wednesday (August 7) afternoon.
Earlier, DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman was attached to the Directorate of Police as Additional Inspector General of Police by the Public Security Department of the Home Ministry.
In the same notification, Additional Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidur Rahman, who has been transferred to the Directorate of Police, has been appointed as Director General of RAB. Barrister who continues to be the director general of RAB. Haroon-or-Rashid has been transferred as Additional Inspector General of Police in the Directorate of Police.
