Shahbaz Khan Mashfi Dhaka: The country's top local social and non-political organization, Nabo Ujjibit Bangladesh Samaj, presented the "Top Performer Award 2025" to 22 enlightened individuals for their special contributions to the country and society in various fields. On June 30, at the Bishwa Sahitya Kendra auditorium in the capital, the organization's president Qamar Afza Liza presided over the awards and founder and general secretary media activist Md. Masud Rana conducted the event. The chief guest of the event was former minister and BLDP chairman Alhaj M. Nazim Uddin Al Azad. The special guests at the event were former Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, educationist Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Global University Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman, Executive Editor of Daily Sangbad Pratidin Md. Maksudel Hossain Khan Maksud, female entrepreneur and Chairman of Nabiha Express Selina Chowdhury, businessman and social worker S.M. Amanullah, EVP of Karnaphuli Insurance Company Khan Shah Alam, MD of Ria Fashion Abdullah Al Mamun, MD of Sky Flora Limited Sajid Khan, former Vice Chairman of Dohar Upazila Shamima Rahim Shila.
The awardees are: Maksudel Hossain Khan in journalism, Shamsunnahar Laskar and Arju Khan in education, Mehedi Hasan Apurba as photographer, Khan Shah Alam in literary work, Soukhin Aziz in recitation and presentation, Rabeya Islam Sneha in news presentation, J.I. Khan Arian in media, Md. Nazrul Islam as social development activist, Sayeed Shuvro as TV actor, Sayem Samad and Iqbal Shah for special contribution in acting, Zereen Afia Jidni in art and photography, Sanarai Devi Sanu in modeling, Sabuj Roy in recitation, Shamima Rahim Shila and Abdul Alim Arafat in social service, Salma Sultana for women entrepreneur, Mahfuza Shiuli for women entrepreneur in garment industry, Sajid Khan, Abdullah Al Mamun and Selina Chowdhury for special contribution in business and commerce. At the event, speakers spoke about various strategies to eliminate corruption from the country. At that time, the speakers called for ensuring free and impartial voting rights for fair and accountable administration in the country. The speakers believed that the absence of proper voting rights and accountability during power in Bangladesh has led to repeated dictatorships. They urged the current government to find a permanent solution to this. The speakers urged the speedy implementation of the current government's reform policies.
