Alam Khan : Today, July 28, one of the most eminent politicians of South Asia, former successful Secretary General of BNP and great freedom fighter Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan was remembered with deep respect and love in the capital. A bright chapter of the combination of politics, ideology and organization seemed to have returned in the discussion meeting organized on the occasion of his 15th death anniversary.
The organizer was – A: Mannan Bhuiyan Parishad. The meeting was presided over by the member secretary of the Parishad, Alhaj Arif ul Islam Mridha.
The program was moderated by Mohammad Ali.The speakers were – Principal Matiur Rahman, former student leader Rafiqul Islam Rabbani, A: Hai Gazi and many other distinguished personalities.The speakers at the meeting said in emotional language, "A: Mannan Bhuiyan was not only an organizer, but also a symbol of democracy, who rose above party interests and worked for the welfare of the country and the people."
Chief guest Arif ul Islam Mridha said in his speech:"A: Mannan Bhuiyan's name will be written in golden letters in the history of BNP. He was a visionary, determined and a unique example of organizational skills. However, the sad injustice that was done by expelling him while he was alive has now become the moral responsibility of the responsible circles of BNP - his expulsion should be revoked."
He also said, "We who believe in the ideals of A: Mannan Bhuiyan, today we unanimously demand - Restore his honor, evaluate history correctly."
The discussion meeting was, on the one hand, a deep tribute, and on the other hand, an important political message—ideal leadership is never lost, history will one day answer all the truths.
