Shafikul Islam Rahi Leads Mass Campaign in Dohazari Ahead of National Election

As part of the preparations for the 13th National Parliamentary Election in Chattogram-14 constituency, a mass outreach and leaflet distribution campaign was recently held at Russia Field in Dohazari Municipality under the leadership of BNP nomination aspirant for the paddy-sheaf symbol, Shafikul Islam Rahi. The event drew a large gathering of local leaders, activists, and general residents.

The program began on Friday (15 November) afternoon, with participation from leaders and activists of different unions of the upazila, along with ordinary supporters. After the door-to-door outreach, the event transformed into a public rally, where Shafikul Islam Rahi urged citizens to vote for the paddy-sheaf symbol in the upcoming national election.

He said, “I have no personal ambition for posts or titles. This is a social responsibility. My main goal in politics is to protect people’s rights and stand beside them in times of joy and sorrow. I have been involved in politics since my student life, remain active today, and will continue dedicating myself to establishing the rights of the people.”

Starting from Russia Field in Dohazari, Rahi moved through Dohazari Bazar and key points along the Chattogram–Cox’s Bazar highway, distributing leaflets among local shopkeepers, traders, pedestrians, drivers, workers, and residents. He encouraged the public to vote for the paddy-sheaf symbol to restore democracy and support national development, and to help bring the BNP back to state power.

He further added, “The core of my politics is public welfare. Through this public-focused campaign, the party’s grassroots organizational activities are being strengthened. I urge all party leaders and activists to work responsibly and unitedly for whoever receives the paddy-sheaf nomination in the upcoming election.”

Leaders, activists, and youth members from various levels of Dohazari BNP were present at the event. Political analysts believe this campaign will significantly boost Shafikul Islam Rahi’s popularity and strengthen his political image among local residents.
