In response to the brutal attack on 14 patriotic students by terrorists of the anti-national indigenous terrorist organization PCP (Pahari Chhatra Parishad) during a peaceful protest and rally organized by Students for Sovereignty regarding the inclusion of the term "Adivasi" in textbooks, a protest march and rally were held at the Shahid Abu Saeed Free Stage in Bandarban. The rally was organized by the Parbattya Chattagram Chhatra Parishad, Bandarban Branch.
The rally was attended by Parbattya Chattagram Chhatra Parishad Bandarban District General Secretary Habib Al Mahmud, Senior Vice President Jamir Uddin, Organizational Secretary Tanveer Hossain Imon, and other student leaders. The speakers condemned the violent attack by the PCP and expressed their strong protest.
A statement from the PCCP said, "Students for Sovereignty have been peacefully and constitutionally campaigning for the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of the country, as well as for the purity of the education system. However, a country-hating terrorist organization, PCP, has launched a heinous attack on their legitimate program, creating an unstable situation in the country."
The Parbattya Chattagram Chhatra Parishad strongly condemned the terrorist activities carried out by PCP in the Bandarban region and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and exemplary punishment. The organization also called on the government to ensure proper medical treatment and compensation for the injured patriotic students.
In the interest of national unity and solidarity, we urge all patriotic citizens to raise their voices against these conspiratorial activities, the statement concluded.
