Benzamin Rafiq: The 11th National Conference of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh 2025 was held on Friday afternoon, 28th Brewery, at the Central Kochikanchar Auditorium in Segunbagicha, Dhaka. The conference unanimously formed the 71-member Executive Committee of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh for the 2025-2027 term. In the committee, literary enthusiast, columnist, poet and teacher Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul has been elected president of the Central Executive Committee of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh. Poet Touhidul Islam Kanak has been elected general secretary.

The conference, held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji, Chairman of the Standing Council of Kavi Sangsad Bangladesh, was attended by more than two hundred poets, writers and artists of the organization from all over the country.

The organization's chief advisor, poet Imroz Sohel, outgoing president poet Raju Alim, poet Mostafa Habib, poet and journalist Ashok Dhar, poet Professor Renu Ahmed, poet Atiq Helal, poet Yusuf Reza, poet Sankar Talukder, poet Abdul Haque Chashi, etc. It is worth noting that Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul has been fulfilling his responsibilities with praise in important positions in various socio-cultural and literary organizations for a long time. Lion Gani Mia Babul is a well-known name in the media of Bangladesh. He started journalism in 1987 in the daily Ganomukh (then weekly) published from Gazipur. Later, he fulfilled his responsibilities with praise in the country's widely circulated daily Khabor newspaper from 1988 to 1995. He is serving as a journalist in various important positions in organizations such as Daily Prabhat, Daily Prime, Daily Mukta Sangbad, Daily Jana Sangbad, and the news agency Fair News Service-FNS. Currently, he is serving as the joint editor of the country's popular online news portal Nirapar News.com and the editor of Bangladesh Sangbad. He is also serving as the advisor of the daily Bhorer Shomide and the chief advisor of the weekly Jhumur. He has been associated with the Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh since its inception.

From 2004 to 2008, he was the Chairman of the Standing Council of the Poet Society of Bangladesh and from 2008 to 2012, he was fulfilling his duties with appreciation as the Central President of the Poet Society of Bangladesh. Later, from 2014 to 2024, he served as the Chairman of the Standing Council of the Poet Society of Bangladesh. He is associated with various literary and socio-cultural organizations in his native district, Gazipur. He has been serving with appreciation as the Joint Secretary General of the Safe Roads Central Committee for a long time.

He is engaged in the service of humanity through various socio-cultural organizations and personally. He has already been awarded more than two hundred national and international honors, including the internationally renowned 'Melvin Jones Fellow-MJF' title for his special contribution to human service.

His research articles, articles and columns are being published and disseminated in various national and regional media. His writings have already gained considerable readership.
