News Desk: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned any kind of meetings, public gatherings, processions and processions in the Bangladesh Secretariat and Jamuna, the official residence of the Chief Advisor, and the surrounding areas.
A public notice signed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali was issued on Thursday (March 13) morning.
The public notice said that in the interest of maintaining public order, any kind of meeting, gathering, procession and procession has been banned in the Bangladesh Secretariat and the official residence of the Chief Advisor on Jamuna and the surrounding areas (Hotel Intercontinental intersection, Shahbag intersection, Kakrail intersection, Mintu Road) from Thursday until further orders, under the powers vested in Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. OOO/76).
