Love Bangladesh Party press conference demanding an end to political terrorism and extortion

Benzamin Rafiq: Love Bangladesh Party organized press briefing demanding strict measures to stop the ongoing political terrorism, extortion and syndicate violence in the country. The briefing held at the Chittagong party office was attended by top leaders of the organization, political analysts and media representatives.

Party President, frontline fighter of the July Revolution, journalist leader Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury called for the establishment of justice and good governance in the country. He said that even after five decades of independence, the people are still not getting the benefits of real freedom. Some vested interests have usurped the rights of the people and have amassed power. They are creating an unstable situation in the country through oppression, torture and violence by exercising political influence. He called on everyone to unite to put an end to this situation and establish justice and good governance.

The President of the Love Bangladesh Party paid deep tribute to the martyrs of the July 2024 revolution and referred to their sacrifice as a milestone in the country's struggle for democracy and justice.

He said that their blood cannot go in vain. This struggle will continue until the liberation of the people of the country.

Stating that the future of the country is in the hands of the youth, he said that the new generation is now standing against injustice, which shows a ray of hope. Welcoming the emergence of new student organizations, he said that these youth will one day build a Bangladesh free from corruption and tyranny.

1. Strict measures should be taken against political terrorism and extortion. 2. State assistance for the unemployed and the elderly, employment and basic needs (food, clothing, housing, medical care, education) should be provided free of charge to the educated unemployed. 3. Bribery and corruption should be stopped in every government and private institution. 4. Political parties should refrain from violence, extortion and muscle power. 5. The chief advisor of the interim government must take immediate and effective measures. 6. Strict measures must be taken to control commodity prices during Ramadan and strict action must be taken against those who create artificial crises.
