Shah Ali Bachchu from Jamalpur.: Sharifpur Union BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal, Matsyajibi Dal and Chhatra Dal of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila have celebrated the 44th martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were organized at Hamidpur Banara, Ward No. 9 of Sharifpur Union on Thursday afternoon, May 29.
Sharifpur Union BNP President Mizanur Rahman Hamidi presided over the discussion meeting and General Secretary Rafiqul Islam moderated it. BNP National Executive Committee Joint Organizing Secretary, District BNP General Secretary, BNP nominated candidate from Jamalpur-5 constituency in the upcoming National Assembly elections, Ed. Shah Md. Wares Ali Mamun, addressed the gathering as the chief guest.
Jamalpur Sadar Upazila BNP President Shafiur Rahman Shafi, General Secretary Ruhul Amin Milon, District BNP Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Professor Mokchedur Rahman Harun, Women's Affairs Secretary Selina Begum spoke as special guests at the event.
Also present at the event were Sharifpur Union BNP Senior Vice President Sujaudula Chisti, Vice President Mostafa Kamal, Organizing Secretary Doctor Junaid, Sharifpur Union Jubo Dal President Mehedi Hasan Kanak, General Secretary Nur Islam, Krishak Dal President Babul Sarkar, Tanti Dal President Bulbul Ahmed, Matsyajibi Dal President Dr. Abdur Rahman, Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Sohel Khan, Member Secretary Haresh Ali, and a large number of leaders and activists of BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal organs and associate organizations in various wards were present.
At the end of the discussion meeting, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the departed soul of martyred President Ziaur Rahman. After the prayers, cooked tabarak was distributed to all present.
